Dr. Richard Baer
Richard Baer began work in private practice after graduating from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1984. He has worked in the San Francisco bay area and San Diego prior to founding Del Mar Heights Veterinary practice in 1990.
Dr. Baer and his wife have raised three sons in the Carmel Valley area, along with their two golden retrievers, Christy and Molly, and three cats: Frisky, Hazel and Smokey. While not working he enjoys skiing, biking and running.
Dr. Kathy Heiss
Kathy Heiss completed her undergraduate degree at UC Davis, and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She began work at Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital in 2003.
She is raising two children with her husband. She also has an 8 year old border collie, Ellie, and a 9 year old black and white cat, Pinky.
Dr. Hilary Jackson
Hilary Webb completed her undergraduate degree at Williams College in 2001. After college, she competed internationally as a professional big mountain skier and ski cross racer. Her love of animals led her to retire from skiing in order to become a veterinarian. She graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She then completed a one year rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, where she was awarded Intern of the Year.
Dr. Webb and her husband live in Del Mar with two children, their 15 year old Brittany Spaniel, Oliver, and their 4 year old cat, Bandit. While not working, she enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, and running.
